About 30% of US Military Veterans with a service connected disability have not filed with the VA for that disability.
According to Census.gov, post-9/11 veterans, on average, have a 43% chance of having a service-connected disability. In comparison, Gulf War veterans have a 27% chance; Vietnam Era 16%; and peacetime-only veterans a 9% chance. The difference? We’ve gotten better at diagnosing these diseases from PTSD (which used to be known as “shell shock”) to injuries, trauma and more.
I’m a US Air Force Veteran. I was trying to file for a few VA disabilities that I had received from the military years ago but became frustrated given the complexity. To create a bit of self help, I programmed an AI Chatbot for VA Disability Claims, and was using it to personally help myself through the challenges. It was so incredibly helpful and it hit me that this chatbot could be helpful to others … in my spare time, I built the website, purchased the domain name, and here you go!
I also built a VA Disability Calculator to help figure out “VA Math” — another challenge.
Its a website where the main focus is an AI Chabot Programmed in all things related to the VA Disability Claim Process.
In just a short time we’ve received amazing feedback … here are a few:
- User: Thank you this has been very helpful. I have been doing research for weeks on the internet and I’ve gotten more clear answers to my situation than I have after researching for weeks on the internet about what to do
